Tata International’s Ghana team gives back to the community

April 16, 2021

“We know that we are not placed on earth for ourselves but for each other, and wherever we turn, we can find someone who needs us – specially in our communities where we live and operate,” the team explains.

On March 8, 2021, the team extended its support to students of the Savelugu Orphanage and School for the Deaf. They donated 50 student mattresses, 100 food parcels of pasta, rice, vegetable oil, canned foods and Covid-19 preventive items including 400 face masks and 50 litres of hand sanitiser.

This donation was made possible by individual contributions from the John Deere Ghana team. “We might not necessarily have the time, but we surely have the heart to think and feel with each other and we pledge to remain committed and thoughtful and to make the world a better place,” a team member pointed out. “And we continuously remind ourselves of these words of H. Jackson Brown Jr.: ‘Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.’”
