Tata International’s Ghana team donates masks, food parcels

May 19, 2020

As the world struggles to cope with the Covid-19 pandemic, a team of volunteers from Tata International’s Ghana office came together on May 8, 2020 to donate food and masks to those in need.

In Tamale (North Ghana), where most of the farmers are concentrated, our team gathered farmers from different communities and handed out 100 food parcels. The parcels contained rice, pasta, oil, fish cans, etc.

The team in Accra contributed funds to purchase 200 face masks and prepare 100 home-cooked meals. These were distributed to homeless and needy people on the streets, together with the 100 food parcels.

The joy and gratitude that the team witnessed has encouraged them to make this a monthly activity. They hope to share the message for everyone to help wherever they are and with whatever little they can manage.
