Workshop on POSH held in Chennai office

A two-day Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) sensitisation workshop was conducted at Tata International’s (TIL) Chennai office on December 18-19, 2014. The workshop was facilitated by TIL’s Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) under the aegis of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).
The workshop was organised as part of cascading awareness across various functions and teams in Chennai, where a sizeable number of workers and supply chain units comprise women. All executives and managers from different levels who have women reportees or colleagues participated. A representative from NGO Centre for Women’s Development and Research also contributed to some sessions.
Action points emanated from the deliberations to help evolve a robust process to ensure that TIL becomes a model gender-friendly organisation. An action plan has been devised, and roles and responsibilities have been affixed, which will be tracked for a measured outcome.
