Training of Distribution sales cadets continues in South Africa

Tata Africa Holdings is training 20 sales cadets through the Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services Sector Education and Training Authority (MerSETA). The training of sales cadets is ongoing and the 20 learners will be back in Johannesburg, Tata Africa Holdings on November 4, 2019 for another week’s theoretical training.
Gap analysis was started with the aftersales business in South Africa this week, with the assessments for workshops and parts. These assessments will be testing skills gaps on Tata and Daewoo commercial vehicles for diesel technicians and parts sales executives.
The assessment rubric is based on the job descriptions of relevance to the aftersales positions for TACSA and the dealerships.
Jeannine Johnston, Group Health and Safety Manager, is doing her assessor training in November 2019 and will be registered as an accredited assessor upon completion. Joining her on the assessor training is Gert Pretorius (Aftersales Technical Training) and Michael Gleave (Parts Training), to be registered with the Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services Sector Education and Training Authority (MerSETA).
Nicholas Morifi and Sonnyboy Msibi are also doing their facilitator training for accreditation, to be able to deliver accredited driver training linked to Unit Standards to our customers.
