Tata International wins big at CLE Export Awards 2013-14

Tata International (TIL) received three top awards for its leather and leather products at the annual CLE Export Awards ceremony in Chennai (India) on January 31, 2015. Mr N Mohan, Global Business Head, Footwear and Leather Garments; Mr Rakesh Agrawal, Business Head, Fashion Leather; Mr V Muthukumaran, Chief Operating Officer, Bachi Shoes (a subsidiary of TIL) received the awards on behalf of the company.
TIL bagged first place for Finished Leather exports, first place for Footwear exports (under the category of Rs 100-Rs 200 crore – won by Bachi Shoes) and the second place in the Overall exports category. The awards reinforced the company’s leadership position in the leather and leather products space. The awards were given away by Mr Rafique Ahmad, Chairman, CLE, and Mr J S Deepak, Chairman and Managing Director of ITPO, in the presence of Mr R Ramesh Kumar, Executive Director of CLE.
The event marked the inauguration of the 30th India International Leather Fair, under the aegis of the Council for Leather Exports (CLE) and Indian Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO).
