Solar business participates in REI 2018

Tata International’s Solar team participated in the Renewable Energy India Expo 2018 (REI), held at the India Expo Centre at Greater Noida during September 18 – 20, 2018. The team was led by Ms Janaki Chaudhry, Head Strategy and Business Development and Mr Vijay Khandwekar, Head Solar business.

At the expo, the team demonstrated their Turnkey Module Mounting Structures (MMS) and services offered to Solar PV power plant projects. Tata Bluescope Steel partnered with Tata International for the event.

The expo was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Mr Upendra Tripathi, Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. Other dignitaries included Mr Justin Wu, Head of APAC, Bloomberg New Energy Finance, Hong Kong; Mr James Gordon Carr, Minister of Natural Resources, Government of Canada; Mr Hans-Josef Fell, President of the Energy Watch Group (EWG) and Former Member of German Parliament; Mr Munehiko Tsuchiya, Executive Director, NEDO, Japan; Ambassador Tomasz Łukaszuk, Embassy of Poland in India; and Mr Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, UBM India. The REI Expo is organised by the UBM Group in India, and this is its 12th edition.

The REI Expo brings together international exhibitors, consultants, business experts and key government officials to discuss global best practices and seek solutions to some of the most pressing challenges in the power and energy sector.

Members from the business development, design and execution teams met and interacted with visitors, as who’s who from the solar industry marked their presence at the event and at Tata International’s stall.
