Minerals team holds customer appreciation meet in Rourkela, India

Tata International’s Minerals team organised a customer appreciation meet at Rourkela, Odisha, on July 12, 2018 to mark the completion of a year in the Rourkela cluster, Odisha.
A cross-functional team from the Minerals business were present, including Mr Sabyasachi Mishra, Head – Sales, Minerals; Mr Prashant Bhandari, Senior Manager, Coal Trading; Mr Atul Chopra, Executive, Coal Trading; Mr Abhishek Chaturvedi, Manager, Operations; and Mr Atish Anil Choudhari, Manager, Finance & Accounts.
The meet hosted 33 representatives of various companies, including several large customers. Rourkela and its surrounding areas are key to the business since they have availability of high-grade iron ore, and coal mines situated nearby. There are approximately 35 sponge iron industries in the radius of 100 km. Sponge iron is sold to far-east Indian states and exported to Nepal, Bhutan and Southeast Asian markets.
The event served to develop new customers, reinforce relationship with existing customers and create brand awareness.
