MD visits Americas team in Illinois

Tata International Metals Americas hosted MD Mr NN Tata in the Schaumburg office on July 25, 2018. This is Mr Tata’s first visit after attending a trader’s meeting in Houston, Texas, three years ago. Mr Tata was introduced to all the team members and conducted a townhall shortly after his arrival.
He congratulated the Americas team on its successful year and indicated he has hopes of achieving and even surpassing the goals for this year. He also acknowledged some of the challenges faced this fiscal year due to Section 232. Mr Tata spoke about goals for each vertical to attain a US$ 20 million profit. He then took questions from the team. Team members from outside the home office attended the townhall via video conferencing.
Mr Tata then held a series of management meetings after a casual lunch with the entire team. Topics included a deep-dive into Americas’ operating differences, results, outlook, vision, strategic initiatives, and key asks from executive management.
Mr Tata also met with a key flat-rolled customer, to learn about the company, the business and the economic and legislative landscape from the customer’s point of view.
Americas President Mr Murat Askin, and his management team, hosted Mr Tata for dinner.
