MD Mr NN Tata appointed on Board of Trustees of Sir Ratan Tata Trust

February 14, 2019

Mr NN Tata, MD, Tata International, has been appointed as a trustee on the board of the Sir Ratan Tata Trust, the second largest among the charities that make up the Tata Trusts, which are among India’s oldest, non-sectarian philanthropic organisations.

The Trusts own two-third of the stockholding of Tata Sons, the apex company of the Tata group of companies. The wealth that accrues from this asset supports an assortment of causes, institutions and individuals in a wide variety of areas. In this manner, the profits that the Tata companies earn go back many times over to the communities they operate in. These funds have been deployed towards a whole range of community development programmes across the country, for over a 100 years now.

Sir Ratan Tata Trust is one of the oldest philanthropic institutions in India. It was set up in 1919 in accordance with the will of Sir Ratan Tata, the younger son of Tata group Founder Jamsetji Tata, a year after his demise.

The Tata International family proudly wishes MD the very best on this appointment.
