Vaccination camp held for girl students in Dewas

Tata International’s CSR team at Dewas (Madhya Pradesh, India) organised the second phase of its rubella vaccination camp on February 19, 2016. The camp was held under the guidance of specialist doctors from ESI Health Services, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Indore region, under the government’s ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ programme.

Organised at the Chimnabai Government Girls Higher Secondary School, a total of 110 girls from Classes VI to X benefitted from the camp. The students were vaccinated for rubella, underwent a haemoglobin check, and availed of free medicines.

Dr Archna Chauhan, a gynaecologist, briefed the girls about the importance of rubella vaccination, ovary-related diseases and their prevention.

Present at the event were Mr Rakesh Agrawal, Business Head, TIL (Dewas), along with Dr CS Katju, Factory Manager; Mr Aslam Ansari, HR & Admin Head; CSR Committee members, volunteers, union leaders, HODs and senior managers.
