Uganda team donates Braille machines to National Association of the Blind

May 04, 2016

Tata Uganda, subsidiary of Tata International, donated two Perkins Braille Machines to the Uganda National Association of the Blind on April 15, 2016. Mr Shalendra Kundra, Executive Director, represented the company and led the delegation for the donation. The machines will assist visually impaired schoolchildren with writing. This will go a long way in ensuring that visual impairment does not hamper their access to quality education.

Tata Uganda takes pride in this initiative, which will help the children in taking up responsible and self-reliant roles in society, and in seeking employment. This is the team’s first donation and it looks forward to a continued partnership with the Uganda National Association of the Blind.
