TIL participates in Myanmar Electric Power Convention

Mr Sunil Seth, Country Head – Myanmar, Tata International, participated in the Myanmar Electric Power Convention held in Yangon, Myanmar, on October 22-23, 2014.
Mr Seth presented a paper on behalf of Tata Power on the advanced coal power plant with clean coal technology as part of the roadmap for development of large Independent Power Producer (IPP) projects in the country. He touched upon areas such as short- and long-term power generation options, enablers for large base load projects, environmental management for imported coal projects and the way forward for development of the power sector in Myanmar.
Over 200 delegates attended the conference and the presentation was well received. Besides senior officials from the Ministry of Electric Power, several independent power plant developers attended the conference.
