TIL Mumbai hosts CII Session with the Peruvian Ambassador

A round table discussion with HE Mr Javier Paulinich Velarde, Ambassador of Peru to India, was held at Worli (Mumbai) on April 29, 2014. He was accompanied by Mr Luiz Miguel Cabello Arroyo, Economic Commercial Counsellor. Organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) – Western Region, the session was chaired by Mr Ninad Karpe, immediate past Chairman, CII, Maharashtra State Council and Managing Director, Aptech. The visiting delegation elucidated the trade and investment opportunities in Peru and the country as a growing tourist destination in the region. The Peruvian government has been engaging with the Indian government to work on a free-trade agreement.

Participants from the Indian corporates present included, Ms Charanjit Kaur, Business Development –International Aptech; Mr Shankar Ganesh, Senior Officer – International and Institutional Business Aries Agro; Mr Ambegaonkar, Director – Essar Projects; Mr SR Rao, President Global Procurement Consultants; Mr Souren Alimchandani, Chief Operating Officer – Hinduja Energy (India); Mr R Kannan, Head – Corporate Performance Management Hinduja Group; Mr Mohan Adige, Director – Nagpur Power Plant; and Ms Anjuli Pandit from Public Affairs at Tata Sons. Tata International was represented by Ms Amrita Banerjee, Head – Corporate Communication and Strategic Relations.
