Stryder bicycles gifted to meritorious students at a Mumbai municipal school

Tata International (TIL) gifted Stryder bicycles to some of the best students (girls and boys) of a municipal school in Mumbai. The bicycles were awarded to the meritorious secondary school students at a small function held on January 9, 2015. The function was attended by students and teachers of the school along with teams from a Mumbai-based NGO engaged in the education and skill development of underprivileged children, and TIL.
The initiative was aimed at motivating the students to continue to give their best in their scholastic and extracurricular pursuits, and was the first time students had been rewarded in such a way. The criteria for the selection of awardees included attendance at school, academic performance, and achievements at inter-school sporting activities and competitions. TIL will continue to be engaged with the community, through volunteering initiatives and by extending meaningful support to the underprivileged.
