Tata Uganda team in polo tournament as part of brand building

Tata Uganda sponsored the Tata Prima LX Tipper team at the 5th Kakira Nile Polo Club Nile Gold Polo Classic Tournament. The team consisted Gordy Millar, Chloe Spoerry and Hrishi Madhvani (who belongs to the Madhvani Group and is also part of the Tata Prima family).
Tata Uganda displayed the Tata Prima LX Tipper – their flagship product and the latest product offered in the country – at the event. The aim behind sponsorship is to establish the brand in the country and to create a niche in the market. The Tata Prima team won second place, losing the cup to Barclays by only half a point.
The Kakira Nile Gold Classic Tournament is Uganda’s most prestigious annual sporting and social event, hosted by the Madhvani Group, one of the oldest and biggest industrialists in Uganda. The Madhvani Group and Tata Uganda have shared a long business relationship – the former being the largest customer of Tata Uganda, with a fleet of over 100 Tata trucks.
