Tata Africa Services Nigeria launches new showroom for John Deere Tractors and Implements in Abuja

Tata Africa Services Nigeria inaugurated a new office and showroom in Abuja, Nigeria, on September 17, 2013, for the sales, service and spares of John Deere Tractors and Implements.

The event was attended by over 150 participants comprising top officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, senior officials from banks, agricultural associations, John Deere South Africa, and a large contingent of farmers. The High Commissioner of India Mr Mahesh Sachdev graced the occasion as Guest of Honour.

Mr Xavier Gobille, Executive Director, Tata Africa Holdings SA, said “The company will enthusiastically participate in the unfolding agricultural revolution in Nigeria by offering a value proposition in terms of the world’s no1 tractor brand, John Deere, supported by Tata’s wide experience in Nigeria, providing 3S solutions. The collaboration with Stanbic IBTC Bank will provide finance for the equipment, making a real difference in terms of business, helping millions of Nigerians improve their lives through profitable farming”.

The two globally recognised brands have come together to create a platform to support and enable stakeholders to access John Deere’s complete range of agricultural equipment as well as obtain financing through John Deere Financial and Stanbic Bank.
