Products for Aluminium Industry team attends conference in China

Tata International’s Products for Aluminium Industry team comprising Mr Abhishek Srivastava, Collector Bars, and Mr Akshay Malhotra, Raw Materials, attended the International Bauxite, Alumina and Aluminium conference (IBAAS-GAMI 2019) in Guiyang, China. The event was held on September 4 -7, 2019. Interactions with various industry veterans and delegates from research institutes, upstream units, aluminum smelters, downstream units and received some good exposure on ongoing innovations and industry trends.
The team also visited GAMI Research Center, an alumina refinery and a newly developed, highly advanced aluminum smelter. They had productive meetings with several other industry players on existing smelter technologies and how they are currently implementing energy-saving mechanisms.
