Metals team visits China to boost bulk metallics trade

Mr Ramesh Mani, Head – Metals, and Mr Abhijit Chowdhury, Head – M&R, Metals, made a visit to China to meet several leading trading entities and steel mills. The aim of the meetings was to discuss Tata International’s iron ore fines (IOF) and iron ore pellets (IOP) business.
The Metals team successfully shipped its maiden 50kt parcel of IOP in April 2019 to China. During the visit itself, the team closed its maiden 50kt IOF cargo deal with one of the top Chinese government trading entities. The shipment is scheduled for early June 2019.
