Metallics & Rolls team visits Hong Kong for business consolidation

Mr Abhijit Chowdhury, Head – Metallics & Rolls, Tata International, visited a leading Hong Kong trader to discuss the iron ore fines (IOF) and iron ore pellet (IOP) business. The trader is one of the pioneers in the IOF business (both low-grade and main stream cargo) into China.
Mr Chowdhury discussed the consolidation of the IOF and IOP business at length with the company’s representatives. At this juncture, IOP business in China is difficult and all the major players such as RGL, Caravel and Glencore are operating in stock and sell models (local sales in RMB).
