MD Mr NN Tata meets with Itochu delegation

MD Mr NN Tata accompanied by Mr Ramesh Mani, Head Metals, and Mr Akshay Malhotra, Manager – PAI, hosted a team from Itochu Middle East (Itochu ME). The Itochu team included Mr Eiji Nonaka, President & CEO – Itochu Middle East, Mr Rio Suzuki, Country Head – India, and Mr Saquib Khan, General Manager.
Itochu ME is a subsidiary of Itochu Corporation, one of the largest Japanese general trading companies with a diverse portfolio including metals/minerals, machinery, energy/chemicals and ICT/general products and real estate.
With a significant presence in the Gulf region, Itochu is the channel partner of Tata International Limited, for business with the Middle East smelters. PAI established itself as a trusted supplier for anode bars and machined collector bars to EGA and Alba.
The division also developed copper insert collector bars in collaboration with these smelters after multiple discussions, modifications and trials since FY 2013-14. With consistent quality supplies, proven operational capabilities, and commercial advantages in terms of efficiency and cost effectiveness, PAI also convinced EGA to switch over completely to the copper insert collector bars, with Alba also opting for this technology for the majority of its operations.
While the PAI division is one of the most trusted suppliers to both of these smelters; for the PAI Division, Alba and EGA are amongst its most valued customers.
