Leather and Leather Products business wins top CLE Export Awards 2016

Tata International’s Leather and Leather Products business won two awards from the Council for Leather Exports (CLE) for Excellent Export Performance during the year 2015-16 on January 31, 2017. CLE is the apex body in India for promotion of leather and leather products.
Chief guest Mr Karuppannan, Minister for Environment, Government of Tamil Nadu, presented the awards. The award for the first position in the Finished Leather category was received by Mr Rama Ganesh, Head – Production, and Mr V Lakshmipathy, Senior Manager – Fashion Leather (Chennai). Mr Sandeep Singh, Head – R&D and Technical Services, along with Mr Atul Nagrath, Head – Footwear (Chennai), received the award for the second position in the Overall Exports category on behalf of the company.
The awards were presented at the inaugural ceremony of the 32nd India International Leather Fair held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Tata International participated in the fair, displaying an array of its leather and leather products.
Organised by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), this edition of the fair will see participation from 400 companies, including over 100 from more than 20 foreign countries and is slated to have more than 13,000 visitors this year.
