Hygiene kits distributed at government schools in Dewas

As part of Tata International’s Affirmative Action programme, health camps are conducted regularly in rural areas, to help villagers understand the importance of hygiene in maintaining good health.

The Leather products team at Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, organised two health and hygiene programmes in August, where the importance of personal hygiene was explained to government school children. The sessions were held at Nagda school on August 1, 2017, and at Singawda school on August 10, 2017. Health kits with personal hygiene items including a nail cutter, sanitiser, soap, tooth brush, and tooth paste were distributed to 450 children.

The team aims to grow it reach and touch an increasing number of lives through such sessions. The company was represented by Ms Poorwa Dixit from the HR team.
