Dr HS Vachha, former Independent Director, passes away

The Tata International family mourns the demise of Dr Homiar S Vachha, and extends heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.
Dr Vachha was associated with Tata International as Independent Director from January 22, 2004 and retired on April 23, 2017, after reaching the age of 75. He was also the Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Board. Services rendered by Dr Vachha as Independent Director of the company were deeply appreciated both by the Board and the company’s leadership team, who had extensive interactions with him.
Dr Vachha was an erudite and inspirational leader. He contributed significantly towards the growth of the company.
Dr Vachha had served as the General Manager of ICICI, in a career spanning over 25 years, and was the ICICI nominee Director on the Board of several large companies. Dr Vachha held a postgraduate and doctorate in Economics from the University of Bombay (Gold medallist in Industrial Economics).
We pray that his soul may rest in peace and that the Lord may give his family the strength to bear this loss with fortitude.
