Dewas team organises a health camp for government school children

Tata International’s CSR team at Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, India, organised a health camp at the Government school in Amona village on February 7, 2017. The camp was organised in association with the ESI health services team, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Indore region, under the aegis of the ‘Swasth Bachhe Swasth Bhavishya Abhiyan’. The team was led by Dr Keshar Katare, Dr Saifi, Dr Bela Hemnani and Dr Vinay Khurana supported by their nursing staff.

The camp was inaugurated by chief guest, Mr Jon Hopper, and his wife. Mr Hopper addressed the participants, speaking about the importance of education and health for every human being. He was then accompanied by his wife in distributing gifts to the children. Dr CS Katju, CSR Committee Chairman and Factory Manager, and Mr Aslam Ansari, Head, HR and Admin, Dewas also addressed the children.

Around 520 children availed the preliminary health examinations which included height and weight checks, rubella vaccinations for girls, dental checks and free medicines based on doctors’ advice.

The programme was successfully facilitated by Ms Anita Chavhan, Mr Ramanand Pandey and the admin team, Ms Reena Kushwaha and other CSR members. Mr Rakesh Agarwal, Global Head, Leather Business, also appreciated the effort made by the team.
