Dewas team holds health camp in crèche for children from disadvantaged section

Tata International’s CSR team at Dewas (Madhya Pradesh, India) organised a health camp for crèche or aanganwadi children and women from disadvantaged communities. The camp, held on May 28, 2016, was organised at the aanganwadi centre at the Government Primary School campus in Binjana village. The camp was held with the help of ESI Health Services, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Indore region, under the Swasth Bachhe Swasth Bhavishya Abhiyan. The ESI doctors’ team was led by Dr Saify, child specialist, a gynaecologist and their nursing staff.

Mr Sudipta Banerjee, Head, Fashion Leather Business, inaugurated the camp and appreciated the efforts of CSR team. Factory Manager Dr CS Katju welcomed all those present and addressed the children and women with the appeal to keep healthy.

The camp provided preliminary health checks for height and weight, Rubella vaccination for girls, women’s health, dental checks, and free medicines as prescribed. During the camp, prizes were also distributed to mothers who, along with their children, were found to be in good health. Around 169 women and children benefited from the camp.

HR Head, Mr Aslam Ansari, Ms Anita Chavhan, Mr Ganesh Bordia, Mr Zabbar Khan, Mr Ramanand Pandey, Mr Ghanshyam and other CSR team members were thanked for their efforts. Also, a vote of thanks was given to the volunteers, union leaders and HODs for their support.
