Chairman of TRL Krosaki visits PAI facilities

Mr Hemant Nerurkar, former Managing Director of Tata Steel and current Chairman of TRL Krosaki, paid a visit to three facilities that make Copper Inserted Collector Bars (CICB) for the Products for Aluminium Industry (PAI) Division. Mr Ramesh Mani, Head – Metals, accompanied Mr Nerurkar during his visit. The facilities, located in Visakhapatnam, India, are owned and operated by sub-contractors under the supervision of the PAI Division.
CICB is an improved variant of the Division’s flagship product Collector Bars and leads to energy savings in aluminium smelters. At present, Tata International is the only supplier worldwide with the capability of producing all three different designs of CICBs that are in use. The facilities specialise in manufacturing CICBs of a particular design.
