September 30, 2014

Tata International Chairman Mr B Muthuraman addressed students of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB), Odisha (India). On the occasion of the 27th Foundation Day of the premier business school, he urged students to strive to build a glorious future for India and lead the country to progress by being responsible individuals and managers. He said there are growth opportunities galore in India, but emphasised the point that the mere presence of these opportunities does not lead to success.

“There are a lot of challenges that need to be overcome; the biggest of them being the social challenge. There is a need to bridge the gap of social inequality and this inequality is not about an outcome but the inequality of opportunities that arise due to gender and caste differences,” he said.

Mr Muthuraman attended as the chief guest and the event was presided over by Mr Rajive Kaul, Chairman, Xavier University Bhubaneswar (XUB), XIMB, and Fr Paul Fernandes, SJ, Vice Chancellor and Director, XUB, XIMB. The event was attended by students, faculty and staff members.
