Battery business launched in Tanzania

Tata Africa Holdings Tanzania, a Tata International subsidiary, began its distributorship of maintenance-free automotive batteries – Emtrac Plus – in June. The brand is owned by Singapore-based company Mindtrac (S). The batteries are manufactured in India, in a state-of-the-art factory, set up in collaboration with Johnson Controls.
The company has already established eight dealers in Dar es Salaam and is looking forward to expanding its channel network upcountry soon.
