Bachi Shoes wins State Safety Award

Bachi Shoes, a Tata International subsidiary, won third place at the State Safety Award 2013 awarded by the Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health, Tamil Nadu.
The Ranipet unit (Unit B) was recognised for being a ‘zero accident’ unit. An ISO 9001 and SA8000 certified unit, it won the award for the various safety practices followed. Bachi Shoes has received similar safety awards in the past, the last being in 2012.
The awards function was held on May 6, 2017, in the capital of Chennai. Mr John G, Head, HR, accepted the award on behalf of the company from Mr P Bose, Director, Industrial Safety & Health, Tamil Nadu; and Mr K Kaliannan, Senior Additional Director, Industrial Safety & Health (BOCW), Tamil Nadu.
