Tata Africa to partner development of Infrastructure and Agriculture in East Africa

Tata Africa Holdings (Tanzania) Limited (TAHTL), reaffirmed to continue to partner in the development of Infrastructure and Agriculture in East Africa at the recently held CII India show in Dar Es Salam in Tanzania. The India show, held in Tanzania was organised to enhance growth and nurture partnerships between the Indian and East African community. Tata Africa Holdings is responsible for identifying development opportunities and promoting new projects for the Tata group in Africa.

The partnership reinforces the organisation’s commitment to its vision of building and sustaining relationships with cooperation and trust, creating employment opportunities, and making its contribution to the social development of local communities.

Speaking at the panel discussion at the CII event, Mr. Ajay Mehra, Executive Director, TAHTL said,“We have several ongoing projects that are working on improving productivity of pulses in Tanzania. The organisation also has a strong infrastructure base with ability to provide solutions and equipment for improving roads, power and water. We are also interested in improving the employability and employment of youth in Tanzania, by offering to partner with educational institutions through internships at TAHTL, which employs over 200 people.”

The event effectively showcased the company’s presence in East Africa across sectors such as Infrastructure, Agricultural inputs, Chemicals, Health Care, Information and Communication Technology and Automobiles.
