South Africa teams mark Nelson Mandela Day with visit to girls’ school

On July 17, 2018, Tata International’s teams in South Africa honoured the memory of Nelson Mandela by marking Nelson Mandela International Day 2018. A team from Tata Africa Holdings (TAHL) together with Tata Automobile Corporation South Africa (TACSA) visited Lofentse Girls High School, which is located in Soweto, south of Johannesburg.
The day was packed with motivational speeches by Mr Len Brand, Head Distribution and Executive Director Tata Africa Holdings; Mr Harneet Luther, Executive Director of TACSA; Ms Desiree Ramaila, Executive Communication, and Ms Jeannine Johnston, Group Health & Safety Manager.
Mr Brand also handed out 100 math dictionaries to the grade 12 learners.
It is in the core of the Tata group to give back to the communities within which each entity operates.
