TIL Myanmar Country Head addresses an Exim Bank seminar

Mr Sunil Seth, Tata International’s Country Head in Myanmar, was invited to speak at a seminar organised by the Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank) in October. The occasion marked the Exim Bank recently receiving a banking license in Myanmar leading to its new office at Yangon. The representative office will engage in financing, facilitating and promoting India’s international trade and investment with Myanmar. Other speakers at the event were the Chief Minister of Yangon, Mr U Myint Swe, and Mr Gautam Mukhopadhaya, Ambassador of India in Myanmar. Mr Ranganathan, CMD of Exim Bank, was also present.

Mr Seth’s presentation was on the Tata group and activities of group companies like Tata Power, Tata Motors, Tata Consultancy Services and Tata Chemicals in Myanmar. He also highlighted activities of Tata International. Among the attendees were senior government officials from the Chief Minister’s office and Yangon City Development Committee, local banks, foreign banks, Indian Embassy officials, prominent businessmen (both local and expats).
