TIL MD Mr Noel Tata appointed Chairman of Voltas

Voltas, a Tata group company, announced the appointment of Mr Noel N Tata as Non-Executive Chairman from September 1, 2017. Mr Tata will succeed the incumbent, Mr Ishaat Hussain, upon his retirement.
According to a regulatory filing, Voltas said that the decision was taken in its board meeting and was based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
Mr Tata has been a Director at the air conditioner manufacturer for over 14 years and is also the Chairman of Tata Investment Corporation and Trent, and Managing Director at Tata International.
He is also on the board of several other companies, including Titan Company and Smiths Group Plc.
