As part of Tata International’s (TIL) continued commitment to extending support to the communities around it, the company’s Leather and Leather Products team at Dewas, Madhya Pradesh (India), held a health camp in Binjana village. The camp was organised under the ‘Swasth Bachhe, Swasth Bhavishya’ (Healthy Children for a Healthy Future) campaign, which was launched by TIL on November 3, 2014.

The camp, the second to be held under the campaign, was inaugurated by Mr N Mohan, Global Head, Leather Products, and Mr Rakesh Agarwal, Head, Fashion Leather business. A total of 210 schoolchildren availed of the free health check-up. Only one major case of ophthalmology was identified for whom the company is making arrangements for follow-ups and treatment.

The camp was organised by the CSR committee of TIL Dewas, led by Dr CS Katju, Anita Chauhan, Dr BM Srivastava and Dushyant Kumar, and supported by the team of doctors from ESIS under the leadership Dr Pradip Joshi.
