Tata International participates in CII Africa Conclave

The CII Africa Conclave was held in Delhi, India on March 9-10, 2017 at the Taj Palace. The 12th edition of the Conclave saw the King of Swaziland, Mswati III, and Prime Minister of Uganda, Dr Ruhakana Rugunda, attend the event as Guests of Honour. The Tata group participated as a platinum sponsor of the event.

Dr Mukund Rajan, Head of International Operations, Tata group, represented the group, while Ms Janaki Chaudhry, Head, Strategy and Business Development, represented Tata International. Also in attendance was Mr Shalendra Kundra, Executive Director, of Tata International’s subsidiary, Tata Uganda. Mr Sanjay Singh, Principal Resident Representative, Tata Services; and Mr N Ramchandran, Head, Government Affairs & Institutional Sales, Tata Motors, were also present.

King Mswati III visited the Tata group stall and had detailed interactions with the teams. Mr Sanjay Sharma from Tata International participated in the event along with teams from Tata Motors and Tata Projects.

The first CII-EXIM Bank Conclave on India Africa Project Partnership was held in 2005. The initiative was launched with the support of the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. Since then, it has emerged as the pioneer event in building partnerships and enhancing the economic engagement between the two regions.
