Tata International DLT, a joint venture between Tata International and Dutch Lankan Trailers, organised a customer meet on April 25, 2015 at Pune, Maharashtra (India). The company, established in 2006, manufactures trailers. The standard range consists sidewall, flatbed, and skeletal, and its specialised range consists chassis carriers, tip trailers, chassis for mobile crushers, etc. The company’s customers are large fleet owners working in varied applications such as cement, coil carriers, and truck chassis carriers.

Mr Rajeev Batra, Chief Operating Officer, shared the vision of the organisation with customers and dealers from Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan. Mr Manoj Das, Marketing Head, and Mr Ranjan Pahadsingh, Engineering Head, presented details of the products and processes. The team assured the visitors of a customer-centric approach, providing the best services, products and responses at all times.

As part of the meet, customers visited the plant and observed the manufacturing processes. An exhibition of new products such as tip trailers, TCC, and canopy trailers was organised at the factory. Customers discussed the applications and specifications of the displayed products with the engineering team. Suggestions for modifications based on customer experience were recorded. The customers appreciated the manufacturing processes being followed (such as automatic beam cutting, jigs, short blasting, painting, assembly amongst others), as they entailed minimal manual intervention and stringent quality checks at each stage.
