Tata International in Africa visits Johns Hopkins University’s SAIS, China

A team from Tata International’s Africa operations was hosted by the Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Nanjing (China) on January 15, 2016. Mr Romeo Das, Head of Minerals Africa, of Tata International subsidiary, Tata Africa Holdings, shared insights on Tata businesses in Africa, its socio-political environment as well as the future of the burgeoning business opportunities in the continent.

The university students are enrolled in a course titled ‘The Rise of India and China’, part of the Asia and Middle East Studies programme. The aim of the study trip was to explore the growing significance of the two economies, and their political engagement with South Africa.
