Tata Automobile Corporation (South Africa) receives order for six mobile clinics

July 10, 2017

Tata Automobile Corporation (South Africa), a Tata International subsidiary, has received an order for six LPO 1823 buses to be customised into mobile clinics. This follows the successful delivery of the company’s first mobile clinic earlier this year for one of the country’s business groups. The clinic was deployed at QwaQwa in the Free State of South Africa, and will be based in the rural area for a three-year period.

The specially designed clinic was equipped with a six-person waiting area, pharmacy counter, and sections for dental, eye, general pathology and gynaec examinations. It was also fitted with an LED screen, to display health information for anyone who visits the clinic, and an IT network for connectivity of equipment on board.
