Leather and Leather Products business wins Export Excellence Awards

Tata International’s Leather and Leather Products team received three top awards at the prestigious CLE Export Awards. The awards were part of the inaugural ceremony of the 33rd India International Leather Fair held in Chennai on January 31, 2018.
TIL was honoured with the following awards:
- ‘Overall exports’ – 3rd place: Mr V Muthukumaran, Head of Leather Products, received the award from Mr Suresh Prabhu, Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Government of India
- ‘Finished leather exports’ (Above Rs 200 crore) – 1st place: Mr Muthukumaran received the award from Mr C Sampath, Minister for Industries, Government of Tamil Nadu
- ‘Non-leather footwear exports’ (Up to Rs 25 crore) – 2nd place: Mr Debashish Das, Head Footwear Dewas and Leather Garments, received the award from Mr P Benjamin, Minister for Rural Industries, Government of Tamil Nadu
The event also marked the inauguration of the India International Leather Fair 2018, under the aegis of the Council for Leather Exports (CLE) and Indian Trade Promotion Organisation.
