Dewas team conducts health camp for school children

Tata International’s CSR team at Dewas (Madhya Pradesh, India) organised a primary health camp for school children under the aegis of the government’s ‘Swasth Bachhe, Swasth Bhavishya’ programme. The programme was conducted at the Government Middle School premises in Binjana Rajivnagar village on September 23, 2016. A team of doctors from ESI Health Services, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Indore region, led by Dr Gupta and Dr Dixit, conducted the camp supported by their nursing staff.

Dr CS Katju, Factory Manager, Dewas, inaugurated the camp and spoke to the children about the benefits of following basic hygiene. Over 107 children attended the camp, which offered rubella vaccinations for girl students, dental and primary health checks, and distribution of medicines as per doctor’s consultation.

Mr Rakesh Agarwal, Global Head, Leather Business, and Mr Sudipta Banerjee, Head, Fashion Leather Business, appreciated the efforts of Ms Anita Chavan, Mr Ganesh Bordia, Mr Ramanand Pandey and his team. They also extended a vote of thanks to the CSR team, the volunteers, union leaders and department heads for their support in making the health camp a success.
