Customer meets in Myanmar for construction industry

Customer meets were organised at Yangon and Mandalay for the construction industry to create brand awareness in the Myanmar market. The events were a collaborative effort of Tata International Mumbai and Myanmar, Myanmar dealer Tractor World, Tata Singapore and its OEMs, Universal Machinery and Aquarius Engineers. The Aquarius concrete pump model 1004D SHP and Tata Hitachi Transit Mixer were displayed at the venues. Mr Sunil Seth, Myanmar Country Manager, presented the Tata group and Tata International profiles, and Mr Zakir Navalgund representing TIL Mumbai introduced new products to the Myanmar market, while UCM and Aquarius made product presentations.
Major contractors from the construction industry attended the event that was held at Hotel Inya Lake, Yangon on June 13, 2014. Nearly 60 customers attended and responded positively. The meet generated enquiries for batching plants, pumps and tower cranes from Yangon contractors. Mandalay being the next major city in Myanmar after Yangon, a customer meet was held at Hotel Sedona on June 14, 2014. Around 40 customers attended the event and evinced interest in batching plants and tower cranes.
The business expects that these customer meets will enhance existing business and help capture a larger market share in Myanmar.
