Asia’s steel team bags Premium Customer Award

One of the top 10 steel groups in the world and the biggest private steelmakers in China, invited Mr Karl Sung, Asia Sourcing General Manager, Tata International Metals Asia Limited (TIMAL); Mr Hong Chan Kim, Korea Country Manager; Mr Oswald Kim, Trading Manager in Korea; and Ms Joanna Xu, Trading Manager of China Sourcing Team, to attend its Annual Conference in Zhangjiagang.
On January 7, 2016, during this conference, the steel major and TIMAL signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the supply of 250,000MT steel products this year. The company’s management extended their gratitude for TIMAL’s support over the years and expressed hope for further growth of the partnership.
The relationship spans over 15 years with this marking the fifth MoU signed between the two organisations. TIMAL successfully exported 241,300MT steel products for the company last year, recording an 18-per cent year-over-year growth in volume from 2014 to become the fifth biggest overseas buyer of its steel products in 2015.
TIMAL also received the award in recognition for its business cooperation with this supplier during the conference.
